Dr. Emma Weiss is a board-certified Dermatologist specializing in general dermatology, complex medical dermatology, and surgical dermatology. She completed her medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and finished her internship at New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she developed a special interest in Oncodermatology, skin cancer, and treating skin disease in cancer patients. Dr. Weiss completed her dermatology residency at Yale Department of Dermatology and served as Chief Resident. Prior to joining Central Texas Dermatology, Dr. Weiss was an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Colorado Department of Dermatology and the Rocky Mountain Veterans Affairs Hospital and served as the Director of Quality and Safety.
Her love of learning, teaching, and forming longitudinal relationships with patients led her to a career in dermatology. Dr. Weiss is dedicated to delivering extraordinary, evidence based, dermatologic care and hopes to develop longitudinal partnerships with her patients and families. She has a special interest in skin cancer detection and prevention as well as treating skin, hair, and nail problems that can arise during and after cancer treatment and cancer survivorship. She focuses on personalized, quality care that is tailored to the patient, their lifestyle, and delivered with compassion, empathy, and respect.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, trying new foods, and listening to live music with friends, family, and her husband.

Dr. Ben took care of me when I had squamous cell carcinoma. He is a very caring doctor. The first surgery was very hard on me. I didn’t know how bad this would be. During the surgery I felt sick. He said we can stop till you feel better. His nurses were great. I am sure he was on a tight schedule but this didn’t matter. He was concerned about the patient he was with at that moment. I was so blessed to have him. The second time wasn’t as bad but then again he was great. I would recommend Dr. Ben in a minute. When you hear the word cancer you want the very BEST. That is what he is the very BEST.

I was referred to Central Texas Dermatology by Fresh Dermatology after a biopsy revealed that I had some squamos cell carcinoma on my chest. I was immediately contacted by CTD and made an appointment. My meeting with the team as well as Dr. Prosise went very well. She explained to me the procedure that I would need, and promptly scheduled an appointment for me to have the procedure. This morning the procedure went quite well, and both the assistant and Dr. Prosise did an amazing job explaining everything clearly and professionally to me. I had a great experience at Central Texas Dermatology. Kim at the front desk was helpful and welcoming and my appointment was quick but thorough and I was pleased that Dr. Halliday answered all my questions and was honest that solving my problems might not be a one stop shop solution (although, I think it has been).
