William M. Ramsdell, M.D.
Diplomate – American Board of Dermatology
American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery
Following eight years of training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, Dr. Ramsdell began private practice in Austin, TX in 1983. For over three decades, he has provided conscientious, cutting edge medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic care.
He is board-certified by both the American Board of Dermatology as well as the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. He is the only dermatologist in the state of Texas and one of about twenty dermatologists in the United States to have achieved such status. He has been recognized by his peers as a Texas Monthly Super Doctor every year since the award was initiated, earning him Texas Monthly Super Doctors “Hall of Fame” distinction.
Dr. Ramsdell is currently focused on Mohs surgery for skin cancer, as well as cosmetic surgeries. He has performed over 11,000 cases of Mohs surgery. He is a sought–after speaker at national meetings where he teaches eyelid surgery, face and neck lift surgery and laser skin resurfacing. He is the author of multiple papers in peer-reviewed medical journals. Please view his curriculum vitae for more information.
Avid hobbies include creating and collecting art, gardening, hunting and fly–fishing. He is very proud of the expert care, kindness and individual attention provided to our patients at Central Texas Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery.
Texas dermatologists have honored Dr. Ramsdell with the Super Doctors® designation every year since the program’s inception in 2004. This annual list of outstanding practitioners, selected by their medical peers, is published in a special advertising section in Texas Monthly and comprises approximately the top 5 percent of the state’s physicians in each area of specialty. As a member of the Super Doctors Blue Ribbon Panel, Dr. Ramsdell is among the highest scoring dermatologists — the very best of the best.
