Juvéderm™ Ultra | Juvéderm™ Ultra Plus

Juvéderm works on superficial lines and wrinkles around the mouth and nose and gives very smooth, natural-looking results lasting up to six months. Juv̩derm is a smooth-consistency gel containing hyaluronic acid (HA) ™ a substance your body produces that absorbs water and projects the appearance of fullness. The level of HA in our skin diminishes as we age, inhibiting the skin's ability to hold water and retain volume. By replacing HA, Juv̩derm instantly fills out your face, diminishes the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and improves your body's ability to sustain these changes.

Juv̩derm has the highest HA concentration of the dermal fillers. It is also one of the most durable filler options, lasting approximately six months. Juv̩derm Ultra is formulated for fine contouring and for volumizing wrinkles. Juv̩derm Ultra Plus corrects deeper wrinkles and folds.

Conditions

FACIAL WRINKLES AND FOLDS "Smile lines" running from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth; "marionette lines," the vertical wrinkles that form at the corners of the mouth; and vertical "lipstick lines" above and around the lips.

The Treatment

We first apply a topical anesthetic to numb the treatment area. Then we use an ultrafine needle to inject small amounts of Juv̩derm into the deep dermis layer of skin. Juv̩derm is infused with lidocaine to make treatment as comfortable as possible.

Treatment takes approximately 15 minutes. Results are immediate, and you should need little or no downtime for recovery.

The Schedule

The Juvéderm gel is gradually absorbed into the body and is typically gone in approximately six months. When you start to notice the return of wrinkles or sagging, call us for a touch-up treatment.

Precautions

You may experience the kind of reactions common to any injection, such as redness, pain, firmness, swelling, bruising, and itching. Side effects are usually mild to moderate, lasting seven days or less. These conditions usually resolve quickly on their own. Juv̩derm is not intended for people with severe allergies.
