With increasing age and loss of skin elasticity, the neck area loses its youthful contour. What was once a sharp angle between the jawline and the neck becomes blunted as jowls develop and loose skin and fat accumulate on the neck. A large number of surgical procedures have been used to correct these changes. In this office we perform a procedure which combines tumescent liposuction and laser treatment with tightening of the neck muscle. This procedure has been popularized by the national news media and called "The Weekend Alternative to a Facelift". Although recovery is rapid, typically over a weekend, the procedure does not represent a facelift. The procedure is performed in the office with tumescent local anesthesia.
