Skin peels improve the appearance of skin affected by sun damage, aging, acne, blotchy pigmentation, and fine wrinkles. They will not
improve sagging skin or deep wrinkles. Please schedule a consultation with an aesthetician before scheduling your appointment to determine which peel is right for you. See the latest on the Skin Peels and Facials available at our in-house medical spa, SkinCare Austin. We offer the
following types of peels.
Glycolic acid is an alpha-hydroxy acid used for superficial peeling. It causes skin cells to be released and shed from the surface of the skin.
These peels can be performed as often as once per week, depending on the strength of acid used. Great for fine lines and photoaging.
Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid that is very effective for exfoliating and reducing oil production in acne-prone skin. It is normal to
experience a slight “tightening” of the skin and shedding of skin cells within 24 hours after the treatment.
A unique formulation of mild acids that provides a slightly deeper peel at less frequent intervals. A series of three to six Vitalize Peels is
recommended at three-week intervals. Great for fine lines, photoaging, and hyperpigmentation.
Trichloracetic acid, a time-honored peeling agent, can be used to peel the skin more deeply. Close monitoring is necessary, and for that reason, it is
not offered in non-medical salons.
This peel combines glycolic and trichloracetic acids in a layering technique to achieve an even greater depth of peeling. This process can be
used on all parts of the body.

Dynamic wrinkles occur when facial muscles that attach to the skin contract. BOTOX® injections
block the nerve impulses within these muscles, resulting in dramatic softening of overlying wrinkles. Frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead creases, and
crow’s feet areas are common sites of treatment.

Sculptra® is a long-lasting FDA-approved injectable product that is intended to restore facial volume loss. Sculptra® is not made from
human or animal sources and does not require an allergy skin test. It usually last 2 or more years.

This treatment consists of cleansing, application of a 30% vitamin C enzyme, light extractions, and then application of a gentle but highly active
pharmaceutical-grade vitamin C, glycolic acid, and enzymes layered onto the face to exfoliate, tighten, and speed up cell turnover, leaving the
skin glowing and radiant. Recommended for all skin types.

Portrait PSR3 is a new skin treatment designed to improve wrinkles, texture, tone, and discoloration
of the skin. This is accomplished by application of plasma energy (ionized nitrogen gas) to the skin. The outer layers of skin remain intact following
treatment and serve as a protective dressing until new skin regenerates.

FotoFacial treatments consist of the noninvasive application of intense pulsed light
(IPL) to the skin. Generally, five or more treatments spaced approximately three weeks apart are required for best results. Unlike more invasive procedures, there is minimal down time,
so you may resume normal activities immediately. FotoFacial/IPL treatments are effective for blotchy pigmentation, rosacea, flushing, redness,
and dilated blood vessels. The face, neck, chest, and arms may be treated. Find out more about
IPL Photorejuvenation and other skin rejuvenating treatments available through our medical spa, SkinCare Austin.

Nonablative lasers such as the Aramis do not remove skin but pass through the epidermis to stimulate collagen formation. After a series of
treatments, a reduction in wrinkles and scarring can be achieved. We also offer laser treatments to remove blood vessels on the face and legs, as well as tatoo removal.
